WATCHET Town FC are holding their annual five-a-side day at the Memorial Ground on Sunday August 7.

This year there will be two competitions – one for over 16s playing for the Knight Cup, and a new section for the over 35s.

l With the new Somerset County League season starting a week earlier than usual - on the first Saturday in August - training sessions are already underway at the Memorial Ground on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm, and new players are welcome.

Pre-season friendlies have been arranged for July 19 and 26 and August 2 away to Chard, Street and Bishops Lydeard.
