TOP OF the table and title favourites Watchet and second-placed Kilve will both be back in action in the first division of the West Somerset Cricket League on Saturday, August 30, after having a blank weekend.

Watchet, who have a 24-point lead over their rivals - and also have a game in hand - play away to Bagborough who are lying in fifth spot.

The big game of the day, however, is at Kilve where the home side face last season’s winners Ashbrittle who trail their rivals by 20 points., both having played the same number of games. Both Kilve and Ashbrittle have played one more fixture than Watchet, who are unbeaten, having won 12 of their 15 matches.

Bridgetown, who are fifth but have no chance of winning the title, play their final match of the season away to Over Stowey while East Huntspill, in sixth spot, are away to bottom side Winsford.

Crowcombe, virtually assured of winning Division Two, will be chasing their 13th win of the season when they play away to Stoke St Mary who are in fourth spot. Crowcombe are 84 points clear of Sampford Arundel who are at home to Roadwater.

Lydeard St Lawrence, who trail Sampford by 49 points but have a game in hand, entertain Churchinford who are one off the bottom.
