WATCHET Town and Minehead are both involved in Somerset County League Cup second round ties for Premier and First Division sides today (Sat).
Watchet are home to top dogs Chilcompton Sports and will again be without goalkeeper Adam Bishop who is struggling with a groin injury.
Charlie Clausen will again go between the sticks because Watchet have not been able to find a new keeper. Clausen has shown himself to be more than an able stand-in for Bishop who could be out of action for some time.
Sports are lying second in the Premier Division, five points behind leaders Mendip with two matches in hand. However, they came unstuck last weekend when they lost 3-2 away to Nailsea United in a league game - only their second defeat of the season.
Minehead are also in action in the same competition when they play away to former Toolstation League side Chard Town. The South Somerset side won 5-0 against Clutton Unted in the Premier Division last weekend.
If Watchet and Minehead win their ties, they will play each other in the next round at the Memorial Ground which would undoubtedly attract a big crowd.
