MINEHEAD proved too strong for Bridgwater 3rd XI, beating their rivals away by 117 runs in the Premier Division of the Somerset Cricket League yesterday (Sat).

The Seasiders batted first and were bowled out for 213 with Greg Howard and Chris James both hitting 45 while skipper Ian Buchanan, Archie Marsh and Harry Tudball both got into their 20s.

Bridgwater struggled in reply, particularly against Minehead's vice-captain Dan Bowditch who took 4-13. James Davis took 3-30

That's two victories in a row for Minehead who were relegated from the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier League at the end of last season.
