FOLLOWING a successful first season in the West Somerset Cricket League in which they were promoted to Division Four, Dunster received a further welcome boost from local conservation group the Buttercross Community Orchard.

The group held a barn dance at Dunster Marsh and raised £450 which they generously donated to the club to help with their junior programme.

The cheque was presented last Sunday at the club’s annual village match, which involves as many players, seniors and juniors, as are available, in a fun match.

It was sponsored by the Luttrell Arms, who provided teas and some sparkling wine for the man of the match awards presented at the hotel after the match.
