MEMBERS of the West Country Tommies group dressed up in World War One uniforms to support the West Somerset Family History Group’s Digital Collection Day.
Others brought items to Williton Pavilion to be photographed or scanned, and many stories relating to the war were recorded. Altogether, nearly 200 items were digitised.
All the information gathered, photographs and scanned images will now be recorded onto the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website, Lest We Forget, for future generations to look at.
