SPARKLY leggings, trendy jeans and even pyjama bottoms made an appearance at St Michael's First School in Minehead as pupils donned more informal wear in aid of charity.

The youngsters paid 50p each for the privilege of wearing whatever they liked to school as part of the national Wrong Trousers Day.

The annual event raises thousands of pounds for the Bristol Children's Hospital and is inspired by the animated characters Wallace and Gromit, who were created by Bristol-based animator Nick Park.
