The West Somerset Railway line between Blue Anchor and Minehead will be closed from tomorrow until Thursday, when trains will only run between Bishops Lydeard and Watchet. An onward connection to Minehead will be provided by Buses of Somerset through its number 28 service.

Minehead Bay Festival organisers looking for sponsorship & funds to secure its futureWork on a track relay around Blue Anchor had already proved more involved than first thought and meant in the railway was only able to operate trains from Bishops Lydeard to Watchet for its first few weeks of this season’s services, with a bus connection to Minehead.
The work was largely completed in time for trains to run through to Minehead at Easter, but some further work still needs to be done.
