A WOMAN is due to appear in court for a third time on Friday in connection with an incident in which a Wiveliscombe man was killed.
Jason Lock, aged 56, died in hospital in Bristol two days after he was attacked by two men outside his home in Stockers Close, Wiveliscombe, in May of last year. The attack took place in front of Mr Lock’s fiancee.
Laura Lockyer, aged 32, was later charged with an assault by beating on Mr Lock and also with using threatening and abusive behaviour likely to cause fear of or to provoke violence, on the same day.
She appeared before magistrates in Taunton for the first time last November, the day before Mr Lock’s killers were sentenced in Bristol Crown Court.
Daniel Bond, aged 34, and Lee Conlon, aged 37, both from Weston-super-Mare, denied murdering Mr Lock but pleaded guilty to his manslaughter and were jailed for seven years and eight months and six years and four months, respectively.
Laura Lockyer, who has denied both charges against her, made a second appearance before Taunton Deane magistrates last week and was remanded for seven days on unconditional bail to appear again on February 3.
