GENERATIONS – a newly established business selling children’s clothing – is the winner of this year’s Minehead Christmas Shop Window Competition.
The theme was The Twelve Days of Christmas and 30 businesses took part – double the number in 2018.
Chairman Graham Sizer, chairman of Minehead Chamber of Commerce which organises and sponsors the competition, said he was delighted by the response. The businesses created eye-catching displays that ranged from a hand-felted partridge in a pear tree, to five elegant gold rings and seven sophisticated swans-a-swimming.
Generations opened for business earlier this year. The entire family worked as a team to create a colourful, revolving display depicting each of The Twelve Days of Christmas.
The first runner-up is Cat Protection which created seven swans-a-swimming from items that were donated to the shop.
Exmoor Brides was second runner-up with five beautifully decorated gold rings.
Highly commended are Robin, The Mixing Bowl, Knickerbockerglory and St Margaret’s furniture store.
Business owners wish to thank everyone who has complimented them on their window displays.
