WILLITON’S Co-Op store will close tomorrow, January 6, for a month-long major refurbishment – its first for 30 years.

It will reopen with a new modern image on February 2.

“The Co-Op are refitting all their stores and we are the last one in the area to have a facelift,” said branch manager Darren Webber.

“Major roof repairs have now been completed and so we can go ahead with a refit which will transform the store.

“We will have a much bigger and more varied range of products, more tills and self-service facilities. We look forward to welcoming customers back when the work is done.”

Many of the branch’s 24 staff will be seconded to other stores until the reopening.

The store-front cashpoint will be closed during the refit but similar facilities are available at nearby Lloyds Bank.
