50 years ago – November 22nd 1969
In Bishops Lydeard, there was a large attendance at a special parish meeting called at the request of the local football club to discuss the possibility of a village playing field.
25 years ago – November 25th 1994
Champagne corks were popping in Watchet as dreams of a multi-million pound marina took a step closer to reality. Backing from the Rural Development Commission meant £1 million worth of Rural Challenge aid would be heading for the town.
