Ray Waterman worked in the travel industry as a coach driver for 50 years. On the 3rd of August, Ray makes his final journey to Paignton Zoo before he goes into retirement.

Ray began working in the industry in 1971 at several companies, Bryant’s, and Webber’s

before joining Riddler’s in 2007.

When speaking about Mark Jaimeson, manager of Riddlers, Ray said: “It’s not like working for a boss, it’s like working for a friend”, “I love the job, I really do I love it.”

Ray’s boss, Mark Jaimeson said: “Ray will be sorely missed. With his many years of experience, driving skills and great personality he is very popular with our customers and all his work colleagues.”

He added: “Ray was the person that encouraged us to start our popular Day Excursion programme and will be driving for the last time on Wednesday 3rd August to Torquay, Paignton or Paignton Zoo. It has been a pleasure having Ray work for me and wish him and Janet a long and Happy Retirement.”

Mark also encourages anyone who is fond of Ray, to wish him a happy retirement by visiting him on the 3rd August.
