DUNKIRK Memorial House, the Royal British Legion care home near Bishops Lydeard, has been given several new plants and pots for green-fingered residents to enjoy.
The items were given by innovative garden pottery suppliers Apta and online mail order company Jersey Plants Direct – both of which give regular donations from their sales to the Legion.
The residents are already busy planting and watering the flowers, including geraniums, begonias, petunias and impatiens.
“They’ve held lots of work parties potting and watering the new plants,” said Sue Hocking, head of activities at Dunkirk Memorial House, which also includes a specialist dementia care wing.
