MINEHEAD hairdresser Emma Bale can tick one thing off her wedding list after her name was picked out of the hat in the Free Press Win Your Wedding Cake competition.
Emma, 27, and fiancé John Cockerill, 23, will be celebrating their big day with a cake designed exclusively for them, free of charge, by Nikki Bowditch of Sugar and Ice in Friday Street, Minehead, where the three are pictured.
Without giving too much away, Emma, who works in her father's business David Bale Gentlemen's Hairdressers in Minehead, said the cake would feature roses to tie in with her chosen wedding theme.
The couple will be getting married next April in St Michael's Church, Minehead, with a reception at Raleghs Cross Inn.
A delighted Emma told the Free Press: "I've never won anything before and I couldn't believe it when I was told I had won.
"It is such a bonus and I just can't wait for the big day. I'm so excited about it."
She and John, who works as a self-employed gardener, had been friends for some time before becoming a couple three years ago.
"Nikki has given us a magazine to help us choose what we want - it's brilliant," Emma said.
The competition also coincided with the seventh anniversary of Nikki's business.
Meanwhile, Jodie Masters of Weston Zoyland will be getting into shape for her forthcoming wedding after winning a six months confetti membership with Tone Leisure.
Together with her partner, Jodie will be able to use all the facilities at the Wellsprings Leisure Centre in Taunton, to ensure both she and her beau look their best on their big day.
Both competitions were featured in the Free Press' Weddings 2010 supplement earlier this year.
