RAIN clouds disappeared and sun and blue sky helped make Watchet Wheelbarrow Race a riot of colour, as people flocked into the town to enjoy the event last Sunday (May 27).
A spokesman for Watchet Live praised the high standard of fancy dress and “incredible” barrow designs.
“Racers and spectators enjoyed a glorious, fun-filled afternoon and evening.
“The town was awash with vibrancy and colour – from the splendid display of wheelbarrows to the teams’ chosen fancy dress costumes.
