WATCHET had the better of a draw when they played host to second-placed Wedmore in Division Three on Saturday.
On an excellent batting track, Rob Yaw and Andrew Woodward got them off to a flying start with a 64-run opening stand before Yaw was caught for 31.
Woodward went on to complete his first half-century of the season before being bowled by Burgess for 59, then skipper Clive Strong blasted his fourth half-century to date in only 20 minutes to leave the home side in a commanding position.
Sandy Rawle weighed in with an unbeaten 47 as the innings closed on 233-4 - Watchet's highest total for three seasons.

Andrew Woodward bowled with pace at the close of the innings and took two important wickets to give Watchet an extra point which could prove vital in the title run-in as the visitors closed on 203-5.
