THE Dunster ‘Walkers are Welcome’ group is supporting a charity walk to raise £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Roger and Marian Brown, from Cumbria, set themselves the challenge of walking 346 miles from Boston, Lincolnshire to Barnstaple.

They set off on May 21 and hope to complete their ‘Across Country for Cancer Care’ walk on Friday (June 24). Walkers are welcome to join them along the way.

Dunster ‘Walkers are Welcome’ is organising a walk on June 21. It is expected the couple will be in West Street, passing the Stags Head at 11.30am.

The walk will be following the Macmillan Way West, through Wootton Courtney to the lay-by just east of Dunkery Beacon. Free transport has been organised to collect walkers and return them to Dunster.
