THE sun was shining to make it a great day as villagers in Exford and Simonsbath held their annual flower and produce show.
The show was opened by BBC television MasterChef finalist and local resident Louise Lyons Macleod, who also gave a speech and presented cups to the winners.
Despite the weather having been ‘changeable’ this year, a bumper display of wonderfully grown produce and flowers was on show in the marquee, and the children’s section was overflowing with their hard work.

The men’s only entry for The Crown Tankard, this year a Battenburg cake, was won for a third time by Simon Brown.
The overall best in show entry for the Terry Atkins Cup was from Nigel Hill for his enormous cucumber.
A show spokesperson said: “Well done to all the winners and everybody for making, baking, and growing a wonderful display of entries.

“The show committee would like to thank everybody for their continued support, help with the marquees, manning the stalls, and all the donations, makes for a great day out.
