CROSS country runners enjoyed getting “Up, Down and Dirty” at a new fundraising event in aid of St Margaret’s Hospice.
More than 100 people took up the challenge of running five, ten or 15 kilomoetres while negotiating a series of obstacles including clambering over logs and fences and splashing through a water jump.
The event at Treborough on Sunday was sponsored by Western Power Distribution, with obstacles sponsored by local businesses including Millers Builders, Summerfield Developments and Maitland Walker solicitors.
Sergeant John Jackson and Royal Marines from Taunton-based 40 Commando were on hand to help out with course marshalling.

“For anyone who missed out this time, there is still plenty of time to sign up for the next event – full details can be found on our website.”
