A GREAT- grandmother and a mother-of-two were both killed in an horrific accident on the A39 at Bilbrook last Friday.
Mrs Turner was a passenger in the Scenic, which was being driven by her son-in-law Mike Capel. Her daughter Janet was also a passenger.
While Mr and Mrs Capel, who live in Dunster, escaped with broken bones, Ms Gould was pronounced dead at the scene and Mrs Turner died later in Musgrove Park Hospital.
Mrs Turner's grandson Marcus, who is headteacher at Timberscombe First School, paid tribute to his "loving and bright" grandmother.
He said she would be remembered for walking her dog Bracken around Minehead - and for her sweet tooth!
"She enjoyed her sweets and the occasional strawberry milkshake, possibly as a result of her time as a confectioner's clerk in Terry's of York.
"She was an avid reader of the press, a great letter writer and enjoyed sharing her news with her many friends and family members.
"She would never forget birthdays or important milestones in people's lives and will be greatly missed by all her family," he said.
Mrs Turner was originally from York and has a son, daughter, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Ms Gould was divorced from her husband Steve Graddon and the couple have two sons, Simon, 19, and Sean, 16.
She had worked at Minehead's financial advisors James and Associates for the last six years.
Company director Jim Anson said Ms Gould had been his right-hand person as office manager and described her as a "kind-hearted and wonderful young lady".
He said she had a wide circle of friends and her office colleagues were lucky to count themselves among them.
"She was a very independent and totally dependable young lady, but at the same time, she was a young girl with a very kind heart.
"It is a terrible thing, such a tragedy. We all had a lot of time for her," Mr Anson said.
Mr Capel said his family's thoughts were with Ms Gould's family.
In a statement, he said: "We would like to send our condolences to the other family involved in the crash: our thoughts are with them.
"We would also like to thank everyone who has helped, in particular, the help and support of the people in the cars behind - Clare and James from Bristol - and Matt, who is a joiner, who kept talking to Jean, Janet and Mike throughout.
"We would also like to thank the emergency services for the very quick and efficient response and their sensitivity in dealing with the incident and everyone at A&E at Musgrove, who were incredibly supportive, enabling Janet to spend some time with her mum before she died."
Janet and Mike Capel are well known in their home village of Dunster, having run the Spears Cross Hotel for a number of years.
They are both retired teachers and spearheaded the link between the Dunster Benefice and Zambia's Eastern Province through their work with St George's Church.
The link has since grown to include partnerships between schools in the African country and Dunster and Timberscombe First Schools.
The couple have raised thousands of pounds for projects in Zambia and visited the country last August to help build new accommodation for volunteers at St Francis Missionary Hospital in Katete.
Their daughter Annabel, who teaches at Dunster First School, spent three years as a volunteer teacher in Zambia and had taught the hospital director's children.
Marcus Capel said his parents were expected to be in hospital for a while and thanked everyone for their continued support.
Police have renewed calls for witnesses to the accident and anyone with information should contact the force's collision investigation unit on 0856 4567000.
