A PAIR of TV veterans from the Time Team series were on hand to help reopen the Dunster Dolls Museum for the 2013 season.
Series producer Tim Taylor and archaeologist Stewart Ainsworth were given a guided tour of the 1,000-strong collection.
The dolls are currently displayed on the ground floor of Dunster Memorial Hall, which is still undergoing a major refurbishment.
The project will eventually create a dedicated village museum.
The hall is also having a refurbished kitchen and small committee room, while the existing snooker room will be getting a Victorian-style makeover.
The scheme is being funded by a £15,000 grant from LARC (Local Action for Rural Communities), together with donations from Dunster Parish Council and Dunster Festival Society.
Local fundraisers also collected £5,000 towards project costs.
The dolls museum is run by volunteers and relies on donations to cover running costs.
