SIR — I understand that Minehead has a new visioning manager, in post since early December.
Asking around, it seems no-one knows who he is or what his remit is.
Surely the first item on his agenda should be to introduce himself to the hoteliers and business owners and to ask their opinion on how they perceive Minehead's future in order for it to prosper in these difficult economic times.
In my humble opinion, Minehead needs someone who is innovative, puts themselves out there and is visible, both locally and nationally.

Good news as food hygiene ratings handed to 27 Somerset establishmentsShould this gentleman need an example, then he only has to look at Porlock Visitor Centre where Denise Sage has done an excellent job in promoting the village. I'm sure she would be delighted to pass on her expertise.
Finally, as this person remains so elusive, may I suggest that the good people of Minehead write in with their ideas for the town and, more importantly, how they think they could be achieved.
