SIR — At the weekend, along with my family consisting of three young children, we decided to take a stroll along the seafront beyond Quay West. The weather was lovely and quite a few people were out and about.
As we reached the vast expanse of grass we thought it would be nice to let our youngest two children off their reins and run free.
Unfortunately this was made virtually impossible by the dogs' mess which was everywhere — Michael Flatley and his Riverdance troupe would have had difficulty avoiding it.
Such a shame that a beautiful area is being fouled.

However, obviously there need to be some stricter laws and a purge on these dog owners who are spoiling and soiling it for everyone else.
