The children of Timberscombe First School entered into the Christmas spirit by performing handbell concerts for the local community.

Class Two had been practising hard for weeks with Daphne Midwood, a regular volunteer at the school, and they began spreading their Christmas cheer at a concert at Timberscombe Village Hall before going on tour, in their own time, and visiting Broadlands Care Home in Minehead.

The children delighted their audiences with carols, Christmas songs and festive fun.

“I am so proud of how hard they have all worked,” said senior teacher Hannah Sparks. “We all really enjoyed making people smile and giving something back to our community.”
