Just over £980 was raised for Red Nose Day by Kingsmead School in Wiveliscombe which ran a ‘Time to Laugh’ throughout the week.
Each tutor group shared and voted on their two best jokes with the top two winning a prize and being shared via Firefly for the whole school to enjoy in afternoon registration time on Friday.
Students enjoyed a non-school uniform day with a twist – each year group was asked to wear an item of clothing in the colour of their year group tutor praise postcard. With students wearing green, blue, red, yellow and purple, a rainbow theme was visible in school – as thanks to keyworkers, NHS staff, parents and students for supporting each other through lockdown.
Year 7 tutor groups ran games, quizzes and competitions during Friday lunchtime – among other fun activities, they included guess the sweets in the jar, lucky dip, pin the tail on the donkey and a ping-pong ball challenge.
