SIR — I read with interest about the lady frightened to walk on the Carhampton road to Blue Anchor ('No-one asked if I was all right', Your Letters, May 17). I am on holiday with a mobility scooter capable of reaching Minehead but I can't go because of this high-speed, dangerous road that has no pavement. As it's a main route to several caravan sites etc, the powers that be should provide a safe journey for all. The car is not king. Helen Roberts, Hoburne Caravan Park, Blue Anchor.
