SIR — May we record our thanks to four young ladies who stopped on Saturday evening to attend to our cat which had been run over outside our home.
They tried to get help from the RSPCA but found out how useless that organisation can be at times like this.
They then knocked on doors to find out whose cat it was and this was how we found out. Unfortunately our cat was killed outright.
Our heartfelt thanks to these young ladies, and a request to all local driver sand buses to observe the 30mph speed restriction, which is not the case at the moment.
