The Division Five championship will be decided with Sunday's final games for leaders Perfecto Old Boys and second-placed Periton Rangers.
The sides are locked together on 38 points, but Perfecto's superior goal difference makes them the favourites.
On Sunday they won 8-0 away to bottom side Carling Rock while Periton stretched their unbeaten run to 13 games with a 2-0 home win over battling Swallowfield.
Rangers almost went ahead when Rob Payton was picked out by Matt Knowles but sliced his shot wide, then Swallowfield created two clear chances and only superb defending by Cross and Puttock kept them out.
Towards the end of the first half Rangers' midfield started to dominate with Allen and Bailey picking their passes at will, and the reward came when Allen found Adam Knowles and he set up his brother Matt to lob the keeper from the edge of the box.
After the break Periton nearly increased their lead from a tremendous 25-yard drive by M Rodgers and they continued to create chances as Bailey and Allen set up the Knowles bothers.
They made sure of the points when a break saw Rodgers supply an excellent ball to Adam Knowles who finished superbly for his 22nd goal of the season.
Swallowfield stepped up a gear in the last ten minutes but there was no way back.
In the same division, Bagborough Rovers drew 2-2 away to Staplegrove Celtic, who Periton face at home in their final game on Sunday.
