ALCOMBE Rovers were humiliated 8-1 at home to Wyvern - a side they had beaten 3-1 only a fortnight earlier.
The result leaves them rooted to the foot of Division One and still looking for their first league point after five games.
They were pulled apart in all departments, and keeper Dave Frost had a nightmare, giving away his third penalty of the season and conceding two goals straight from corners.
In a game the whole side will want to forget quickly, Rovers consolation goal came from a free-kick by Paul Jenkins.
Alcombe Rovers: D Frost, M Hill, R Baker, R Matcham, P Ahmet, P Matcham, R Furse, J Browning, J Hill, D Ferguson, P Jenkins, subs S Antonelli, K Lewis (both used), P Adams.
Bishops Lydeard fared much better in the same division, winning 5-1 away to Sydenham.
They became the first side to beat Sydenham since April 13 1999 with four goals from Martin Groody and one from Andy Clarke.
In Division Two, goals from Greg Howard, John Harris and Ian Cape helped Porlock to a 3-3 draw at home to Middlezoy, while Spaxton beat Blackbrook 3-0 with goals from Barry Dobson, Dave Allen and Matthew Krajniewski.
Division Three leaders West Somerset Sports made it six wins out of six with a 2-1 away win over Hulan.
They made a shaky start as Hulan took advantage of the slope and were lucky not to go in at half-time more than 1-0 down as the home side created a host of chances.
Sports' best chance of an equaliser came from the penalty spot after Lee Todd was fouled, but Tony Hill put his spot kick over the bar.
Fortunes were reversed in the second half with Sports having the lion's share of the chances, although the final ball too often let them down.
Mike Tipper and Lee Todd had good chances before the equaliser eventually came, Tommy Todd getting the final touch in a goalmouth scramble.
The winning goal came just two minutes from time when man of the match N Watson worked a good opening and his accurate cross eluded both keeper and defender for Lee Todd to head home.
West Somerset Sports: C Betts, T Hill, M Tipper, P Newbold, P Langdon, C Goodwin, B Buggy, T Todd, L Todd, N Watson, P Woodley, subs T Long, K Griffiths, M Muscroft, W Hill.
One of the best results of the day belonged to Exmoor Rangers, who won 3-2 away to unbeaten leaders Appletree in Division Four.
Rangers struck first when a long ball split the Appletree defence and Keith Richards curled his shot high and wide past the keeper.
Appletree upped their game and their sharp play produced good chances before they equalised from the penalty spot after a handball on the line.
After half-time they went ahead, but that sparked Rangers into action and towards the end, two pin-point corners were met by bullet headers from P Skinner to put them 3-2 ahead.
From then on Exmoor defended bravely, winning every key challenge with Dan Phippen summing up their determination by proving their kingpin despite sporting a 21/2 inch gash from an earlier challenge.
Exmoor Rangers: T Matravers, R Howe, M Matravers, D Phippen, J Smith, P Govier, K Richards, P Cuthbertson, P Skinner, G Northam, M Sherring, sub R Norman (used).
Goals from Lee Hooper (2) and Dan Stone earned Dulverton Town Reserves their first league win, 3-1 at home to Highbridge Reserves.
Division Five leaders Williton maintained their 100 per cent record with a 2-0 win away to Wyvern Reserves, Matt Werbitzky getting both goals.
Porlock Reserves narrowly lost 3-2 away to Moortown.
They started the game on the attack and after some good play were rewarded with a goal by C Carr.
It was all Porlock at this stage and it was no surprise when R Lobb's shot resulted in an own goal, making it 2-0.
Moortown cut the deficit before half-time, and after the break Porlock needed some good defending and vital saves from keeper A Shopland to stay ahead.
However, a good through ball set up the home centre forward for the equaliser, and with six minutes left a defensive mix-up let Moortown in for the winner.
Porlock Reserves: A Shopland, R Lobb, I Goodrum, D Chaffey, M Healey, P Healey, B Binding, C Carr, T Ollerenshaw, K Ackand, S Rimmer, sub P Hammond (used).
Nether Stowey Reserves won 2-0 at Brandon.
The first round of the Somerset Intermediate Cup saw easy wins for Nether Stowey, 7-1 at home to Henstridge Utd Reserves, and Bishops Lydeard Reserves, 6-1 at home to Baltonsborough Utd Reserves.
And Dulverton Town scored a confidence-boosting 4-2 win away to Little Thatch, but Stogursey crashed 9-1 at home to Chard Rangers.
