THERE should be plenty of room for the presents under the Christmas tree at Old Cleeve First School after a former parent donated a whopping 21ft tall arboreal monster.
Tom Horn, whose daughter Sam now attends Danesfield Middle School in Williton and whose partner Katrina Burfield works at Old Cleeve, donates a tree to the school each year.
But executive headteacher Ian Bradbury said Mr Horn had surpassed himself this year by delivering such an enormous spruce.
"I think it's possibly the biggest school tree ever. It stands as high as the school with the star on top," Mr Bradbury said.
The tree has been anchored into position in the school playground with ropes .
