ELEANOR Pawson and Jonathan Hobbs are this year's Minehead and West Somerset Swimming Club Junior Club Champions.
They received their awards on Tuesday, July 16, when the club held a fun evening with a barbecue and junior championship presentations at Aquasplash.
Swimmers were placed into teams captained by Hilary Dubery and Liz Stewart and Hilary's team won by a whisker.
The junior club championship is based on BAGCATS (British Age Group Categories) with swimmers participating in as many events as they wish to in their own age category.
The times are then converted into points and the highest number of points from each category is carried forward to a final total.
Cups are awarded for each agre group and every swimmer who participates gets a medal and certificate.
The 50m sprints and 100m individual medleys were held on Saturday, June 15, and the other events were timed on club nights.
