MINEHEAD residents can have their say on how the seafront could be improved by taking part in a public survey launched by the Minehead Coastal Communities team and starting tomorrow (April 10).
It is seeking input on a new Enterprising Minehead scheme to enhance the eastern end of The Esplanade and contains questions on seafront exercise, games, transport, seating and facilities for the elderly and disabled.
MCCT chairman Cllr Roger Thomas said: “This is a great chance for community groups to get involved and start thinking about what they might like to see incorporated in designs before we start a wider consultation.
“I really hope people will come along and share their ideas.

Some possible ideas for the eastern end of The Esplanade were aired at a presentation last week. They included landscaping with mounded grass and lawn areas, featured lighting, a linear walk, play areas and improved seating.
‘Mood boards’ featuring concepts that could be brought to life will be on show at Minehead Tourist Information Centre along with the questionaire.
The consultation will run from April 10 to 15 and TIC opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 11am-4pm.
The results will be displayed at the centre in May and June.
