Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9pm July 11 to 4am October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 - mobile lane closure for drainage works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

M5, from 9pm October 4 to 5am October 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 - lane closure for drainage works.

M5, from 8pm October 17 to 5am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 25 to 26 - lane closures for safety barrier repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
