Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm April 1 2025 to 4am April 1 2026, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm May 20 to 6am May 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 24 to 25, lane closure for signs maintenance.

M5, from 9pm May 31 to 6am June 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 entry slip closed for structure inspection, diversion via M5, junction 26 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
