A SECOND food bank in West Somerset for people in need opened on Wednesday.
The Quantock Foodbank will serve people in and around Watchet from Stogursey to Crowcombe and Washford to Nettlecombe.
It joins the well-established West Somerset Food Cupboard in Alcombe in helping families suffering financial difficulties who are struggling to put food on the table.
A special dedication and blessing was held at the newly set-up food bank in Watchet’s Harbour Road, with representatives from local churches, agencies and Watchet mayor Cllr John Irven attending.
