A SMALL group from Watchet were warmly welcomed when they visited their twin town Saint Renan, in France.
The visitors enjoyed several entertaining activities, including a science museum trip to Morlaix, based in a former tobacco factory whose history and old machinery was part of the exhibition.

There was also a working demonstration of Foucault’s Pendulum, a fascinating contribution to scientific knowledge.
Another outing was to a seaweed house in Lanildut, where seaweed gathering is an important industry on the Breton coast and has widespread commercial and medicinal uses.
A spokesperson said: “Exchange visits between England and France are an invaluable way of meeting people in their own homes, and experiencing a slightly different way of life, not to mention increasing language and communication skills.”
