Stalls, music, entertainment, a parade - and a royal visit – were watched by crowds who braved a chilly evening.
The event commemorates a visit to Watchet over 300 years ago by King Charles II and his consort, Queen Catherine , known as Caturn, who, it is believed, came to the town to buy Watchet Blue cloth.
This year’s King and Queen were founders of Watchet Community Bookshop, Alan and Melanie Woollam.
Attractions included Father Christmas in his grotto, children’s entertainer Captain Barnacle, Pete the Poet and a performance by Watchet Community Choir.
A spokesman for the organisers said: “It was an incredibly good turnout considering it was such a cold afternoon and evening, and all the stalls did very well.”
