WATCHET sea scout Jake Ellis was at Windsor Castle on Sunday when he carried the Scout Association’s standard in the Queen’s Scout parade.

Assistant scout leader Jake, of 1st Watchet Sea Scouts, spent many weekends training in London and at Windsor Castle itself, preparing for the parade and service inside St George’s Chapel.

The annual Queen’s Scout parade celebrates the achievements of all Explorer Scouts and leaders who have gained the Queen’s Scouts Award - the highest achievemen that can be gained by a scout.

This year, the inspection was carried out by the Duke of Kent. Also present was the Chief Scout and celebrity adventurer Bear Grylls, along with scout ambassador and actor Warren Davis.
