SIR — I would expect all dog owners to clear up after their pet's toilet duties, so why on the pavement in Long Street just up from the Roughmoor junction did some undesirable horse owner allowed their animal to leave a massive pile of droppings?

A small effort on the rider's behalf would have been all it took to clear the mess but oh no -they just ride merrily on their blinkered way, totally ignoring it. 

Fortunately the local builders merchant is nearby where you can purchase step ladders very reasonably!
