MEMBERS of Dulverton Child Care Centre raised £300 for the BBC Children in Need appeal with a bring and buy sale and a sponsored bike and trike ride.
Local businesses donated items for a raffle, and there was also a cake stall, refreshments and a lucky dip.
However, the highlight for many of the younger participants was the sponsored rides.
A circuit was set up in the hall at Dulverton Middle and Community School for youngsters from The Rocking Horse, who were aged up to four.
Members of the out of school club, Kids-R-Us, aged between four and 12, rode their bikes around the school playground.
Shane Norman, aged nine, and Matthew Neal, aged five, both managed to complete 100 laps around the playground, while Chloe Puttock, aged four, achieved 34 laps around the hall.
All three won prizes for their efforts, while Joshua Vincent, aged two, and Bethany Wright, aged five, each won prizes for collecting the most sponsorship money.
All the children who took part received a Pudsey Bear badge and a 'Well Done' certificate.
The Rocking Horse manager, Kirsti Norman, said: "This was our first event of this kind and I was extremely pleased at how much we managed to raise for Children in Need.
"I am very proud of the children and their parents who all worked so hard for this event and I am very grateful to the businesses who donated gifts for the raffle."
She also thanked community education co-ordinator Jan Ross and the child care centre staff for their help.
