POLICE were investigating reports of a robbery at Watchet Post Office as the Free Press went to print yesterday.

Officers were called to the town at 11am. It is not yet known if anything was stolen or if a weapon was used.

Police inspector Shane Carey said: "Shortly after 11am today we received a report of a robbery at Watchet Post Office.

"We are at the scene establishing the circumstances of the robbery and an investigation has already begun to identify the person responsible."
