Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 8pm August 6 to 6am August 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 27 to 26, lane closure for barrier works.

A30, from 8pm October 27 2022 to 5am December 30 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
