Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A30, from 8pm October 27 2022 to 5am December 30 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.
And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 8pm June 26 to 6am June 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, Taunton Deane Services entry and exit slip closed for white lining.
• M5, from 9pm June 26 to 6am June 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 24 to junction 25 - lane closure for electrical works.
• M5, from 8pm June 27 to 6am June 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 to 26 lane closures for white lining.
• M5, from 8pm June 28 to 6am June 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 entry and exit slip closed for white lining. Diversion for exit slip via, junction 27 and back. Diversion for entry slip via, junction 25 and back.
• M5, from 8pm June 29 to 6am July 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 25 lane closure for barrier surveys.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
