IT was all hands on deck this week as volunteers rallied round to get Watchet’s revamped Boat Museum shipshape in time for the official opening next Wednesday (July 20).

The £400,000 project, which started in February almost two months behind schedule, includes a custom-built extension containing a visitors’ centre, a taxi office and an office and council chamber space for Watchet Town Council.

The new complex will open its doors to the public on Thursday (July 21).
