A play area undergoing refurbishment is set to reopen before the school summer holidays.
The Westland Road play area is undergoing a massive facelift to which Yeovil Town Council has contributed £25,000, for example.
The play area is situated on a scheduled ancient monument and the project came to a halt when it emerged that consent was required from Department of Culture Media and Sport.
A town council report outlined recent developments: "Major steps have been taken to move this project towards completion within the time scales set out in the approved project plan.

Consent to proceed was given on April 10th and play equipment was subsequently ordered.
It is estimated the supplier in question needs eight weeks to manufacture the equipment and construction work on site is expected to commence at some point this month.
An exact opening date has not been set, but it is hoped the play area can welcome users in early July.
