NATIONAL Trust volunteer rangers who have given up their time to help to conservation on Exmoor have been rewarded for their efforts.
Rohan, a specialist in technical outdoor clothing and equipment, has presented them with vouchers and discount cards to spend at their store in Dunster.
Around 13,000 hours of conservation work was completed by volunteers on the trust’s Holnicote Estate in 2015.
Volunteers’ work includes helping with the maintenance of the 250 kilometres of rights of way, conserving rare lichens or endangered butterflies in the Dunkery and Horner Wood National Nature Reserve, or providing information and assistance to visitors throughout the year.

Behind them, from the left, are Paul Camp, volunteers Maggie Briggs, Bill Briggs, Colin Clapinson, Nick Hutchings and Gill Campbell, Rohan’s assistant manager, and volunteer Alistair Campbell.
