STAFF at an Exmoor pub are celebrating winning a top award for their food.

The Poltimore Inn at North Molton is already a Taste of the West Gold Award winner for its food, menus and ambience.

Now it has beaten stiff competition to win the ‘best family dining experience’ award at the North Devon Business Leisure and Tourism Awards.

“We are all delighted and thrilled to win this award,” said landlord Alan Boddington.

“All the pub staff were at the awards evening and, when we won, we were all very emotional. You could see how much this win meant to the whole team. We are so proud to now be considered one of the best family dining venues in this area.

“This award consolidates the work we have done to build up our reputation for delicious home cooked food, made from high quality locally sourced ingredients, at affordable prices.

“We have made it our top priority to create a welcoming atmosphere where families and groups can enjoy eating together, and where the individual needs of each member, whatever their age, are catered for.

“We are looking forward to building on this award success. It shows that the pub is heading in the right direction despite the difficult economic times.

The Poltimore Inn has a 70-seat dining room, with views of the Exmoor countryside, and also offers a range of bar meals.
