MAGNA West Somerset tenants in Alcombe are shaping up for some serious pub game challenges - at home.
Landlord of the Britannia Inn, Ted Alford, has donated a brand new dartboard and cabinet, carpet skittles and table skittles to Silvermead sheltered housing.
Some of the residents of Silvermead are regulars at the Brit and they hope to form teams which, after a little practice, could take on others at sheltered homes across the district.
Silvermead is one of Magna West Somerset's two specialised housing schemes for more vulnerable tenants who prefer to live independently but cannot manage activities such as laundry, cooking, bathing and shopping.
Magna specialised sheltered scheme manager Elaine Floyd said: "There's been quite a bit of interest in all of the pub games.
"We're added the other traditional games of shove-halfpenny and draughts for those who don't want to be quite so energetic.
"It was good of Mr Alford to provide the equipment because it's helped us extend the range of activities on offer at Silvermead."
