Local people aged 16 and over are urged visit two Covid-19 vaccination clinics being held in the car park of the Minehead Community Hospital on Tuesday, August 24 and Tuesday, September 7.

Caroline Upton, head of nursing and quality for the Somerset vaccination programme, said: “We have already held a very successful pop-up clinic in Minehead and are holding two more because we want to make it as easy as possible for local people who are eligible to receive their Covid-19 vaccination.

“Having your jabs is the most effective way of protecting yourself and others from serious illness as a result of coronavirus. Our vaccinators will put you at your ease and will also be able to answer any questions.”

Both clinics will be offering first or second doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to anyone aged 16 and over as well as second dose of Astrazeneca but they must wait eight weeks between their first and second doses.
